Jacqui Stanley

Jacquie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 and joined an international firm of accountants to specialise in tax matters. She has over 30 years experience in the world of accountancy and has spent more than 25 years working full time in tax!

Jacquie joined Beever and Struthers in 1997 and became a Tax Partner in 1999. She specialises in tax planning and spends most of her time on tax planning issues for SMEs and RPs.

She is a member of The Charity Tax Group (CTG) which was set up in 1982 to make representations to Government on charity taxation and it has since become the leading voice for the sector on this issue. Jacquie is also a member of Know How Non Profit, a growing community of nonprofit people who share their questions and experiences while offering support and advice.

She is in charge of Health and Safety and is accredited through the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health ‘Health and Safety at Work’ course, implementing a Health and Safety review of issues and procedures every 6 months.

Jacquie has considerable experience in advising Registered Providers (RPs) on tax planning issues within group structures, including:

  • Gift Aid;
  • PAYE enquiries;
  • Repairs – capital or revenue;
  • Charitable status;
  • First tranche sales of shared ownership properties;
  • Tax treatment of mixed developments; and 
  • Year end tax planning.

She also has a lot of experience in the not for profit/charity sector.
