My story
I joined Beever and Struthers in 1997 and was appointed Partner in 1999, having previously spent 4 years training at a large national practice followed by 8 years at an international firm which was where I got the taste for corporate finance and forensic work.

Having worked on a mixture of large-scale, cross-border transactions as well as acting for large SMEs I got most enjoyment from advising owner-managers and SME management teams where you could make a real difference, and that prompted the move to Beever and Struthers where I helped establish the Corporate Services team.

Fast forward to today and I still get a real buzz from our work which is across such a wide range of sectors, and with every client having different needs and objectives, no two days are the same.

I do this too…
Highly active networking… I am a former Chairman and Board member of Pro-Manchester, current Vice-President of the Manchester Business Group of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and co-opted to the Partnership Steering Group of the Manchester Growth Company Business Growth Hub. I was even nominated as “Financial Personality of the Year 2018” at the prestigious Mancoolian Awards organised by Downtown in Business.

Away from work, I love being outdoors whether that’s rambling or gardening, watching any kind of sport or going to live music and the theatre. But my greatest passion over many years, other than my family, has been following the fall and subsequent rise of Manchester City – and definitely enjoying the good times while they last!
