Beever and Struthers announce partnership with People’s History Museum’s Radical Circle

  • Published on: 16/09/2023

Back in January 2023, we announced our new venture as a founder member of People’s History Museum's Radical Circle. The Radical Circle supporter scheme provides essential resources, ensuring the museum remains free for everyone.

People’s History Museum (PHM) tells the story of the past, present and future of democracy in Britain. The right to vote, time to rest, fair pay – what has led to the freedoms we have today and what still needs to be done for a better future? As a socially responsible business, our aim in this museum partnership is to create social value by supporting future generations to find their voice and get behind the issues we face today.

As a firm committed to making a difference and supporting local communities and groups, the decision to partner with PHM was easy. We wanted to support something that we all feel connected to, as well as having a mutual benefit. Beever and Struthers is a well-respected firm in the community, particularly in the northwest where we have many clients, which we continue to introduce to the incredible work of PHM. In return, PHM has valuable business contacts, both individuals and corporate, who we share networks and audiences with.

PHM hosts events, exhibitions, and activities for all to enjoy, as well as volunteering opportunities that we can get involved in, to do something different and great with our day. We encourage Team Beevers to sign up and get involved in the events listed below.

What is PHM about?
For anyone who hasn’t visited the museum before, here’s a flavour of what to expect. From the Peterloo Massacre of 1819 to the present day, meet the revolutionaries, reformers, and workers championing ideas worth fighting for. This museum isn’t about kings and queens, its about people fighting for every day rights.

This Peterloo inspired short film gives you a taster of the stories you can explore at the museum.

Which radical are you?
PHM has shared their personality quiz which tells you which radical from the museum you are most like. Are you suffragette Sylvia Pankhurst or founding father Thomas Paine? Anti-nuclear campaigner Betty Tebbs or strike leader Jayaben Desai? Discover your radical match and share with your colleagues.
