People Power: Creating a High-Performance Workforce – Session 2 Highlights
- Published on: 23/07/2025
Our second People Power session took place on 15 July, once again, we brought together senior leaders and sector voices to explore one of today’s most pressing challenges: how to build workforces that can not only keep up with change but thrive through it.
With technology moving fast, expectations shifting, and skills gaps widening, the session focused on what it really means to be high performing in a world that doesn’t stand still.
The theme? Creating a High-Performance Workforce – and it quickly became clear that this ambition extends far beyond operational tweaks or digital upgrades. At its core, high performance is as much about mindset, culture, and human potential as it is about systems, tools, and KPIs.
Key Takeaways can be found here, but a few highlights are mentioned below.
- Upskilling and re-skilling – Empowering employees through targeted training and development opportunities helps bridge critical capability gaps and build a resilient, future-ready workforce.
- People and AI integration – Fostering collaboration between people and AI through reskilling, clear systems integration, and a culture of curiosity ensures both thrive in a tech-driven workplace.
- Workforce investment = profitability advantage – Organisations that prioritise workforce engagement and development see up to 1.3x higher profit growth due to increased productivity, alignment, and motivation.
- Scanning the horizon for future opportunities – High performers actively explore new pathways – leveraging AI, accelerator programmes, and partnerships with education providers to remain agile and opportunity-ready.
“Don’t be scared to break the culture to build it back up,” a bold statement and insight from the session. This approach requires courage and vision, but as echoed throughout the event, high-performing organisations are those that dare to reshape their culture intentionally, not just preserve it passively.
