Mark Bradley

Partner

I’m Mark and alongside looking after a portfolio of not-for-profit and commercial clients, I am also responsible for looking after the training of the 120 students across the firm.

Having started in general practice doing audit, accounts preparation and corporate taxation, I have developed a niche for clients across the not-for-profit sector, including charities, education and local authority subsidiaries. Remaining true to my roots, I also have a number of family-owned businesses which I have worked with throughout my career.

My story
I joined a small firm in Blackburn from University where I trained and qualified. The firm later merged with Beever and Struthers and I became a partner in 2016 working across a wide breadth of clients. I love a technical query and doing research but also I am a big believer in keeping it simple for my clients.

I took on the role of Training Partner in 2022 and alongside the training team I am developing a supportive training structure to work with our existing students but also to support the next generation of students who have had a more remote learning experience.

I do this too…
Alongside looking after our two home schooled children with my wife, we also have a 3 acre small-holding in East Lancashire so when the laptop goes away the wellies come out and its off out in the fresh air/rain/snow to look after the goats, alpacas, ducks etc that live in the fields (and sometimes the house!).

Having been in the scouts throughout my childhood and indeed meeting my wife there, it’s now our time to give something back. Whilst holding the roles of explorer scout leader and assistant cub leaders I am often found running activities for groups of young people. I also co-ordinate the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme as a result I spend lots of time stood on hillsides trying to find groups of lost young people, seeing the smiles and accomplishment on their face when they complete it makes everything worthwhile.
