My story
I started as an apprentice in an independent firm in Bradford and completed my AAT with them, and then went onto complete my ACA and CTA qualifications. I dealt with a wide range of clients from small sole traders and SME’s covering a variety of industries, along with corporation tax, VAT, and P11d’s.
I then moved to the other side of the world where I worked as an associate auditor and then to assistant manager for mid-tier firm dealing with predominantly financial services and government entities. After 3 years overseas, I moved back to the UK and joined Beever and Struthers.
I do this too…
Most of my free time and annual leave is spent travelling and exploring the world. I love running, hiking and sports and I am almost always training for something.
I am a huge fan of live music, which is one of the reasons I moved back to the UK. I usually have plenty of gigs to look forward to throughout the year.
I’ve spent a lot of time on various committees and volunteering to help others. Before covid I was a mentor for ICAEW BASE competition in both the regional heats and the national finals as well as sitting on the Bradford and District Chartered Accountants Student Society committee as President organising events for the students.
